Osteoarthritis is a common condition, affecting any joint in the body and causing pain, stiffness and loss of function.

Although there is no cure for osteoarthritis at present, there are treatments that can provide relief from the symptoms and allow you to get on with your life. These may include lifestyle changes, for example exercise and weight loss/maintaining a healthy weight; pain relief medications; physical therapies, and surgery. Most people with osteoarthritis will not need surgery, and it is usually only considered once you have tried all other suitable treatments.

If your symptoms are not manageable and you would like to discuss pain relief, consider surgical options, or have any questions please contact the practice to make an appointment with one of our clinicians.
